About

I grew up in Austin, Texas and the surrounding Hill Country. I loved the weird vibe of the city and am proud of that part of my heritage. In 2006 I graduated from the University of Texas with my first degree in Education. After teaching in Houston for nine years I decided it was time for a change. I took a break and lived in Romania for three months doing mission work. When I came back I discovered my love for designing graphics and figured it was time to go back to school. I enrolled at the Art Institute of Houston in February of 2017. Through my courses, I not only developed my design skills, but I also learned I loved to code! I graduated with a Bachelors in Graphic & Web Design in December of 2019.

While I was working on my degree, I started working in public libraries and discovered that I loved it! In the Fall of 2020 I decided to go back to school again, this time for a Masters in Library Science. I started at Texas Woman’s University in January of 2021 and graduated in August of 2022.

As soon as I graduated with my MLS, I was hired as a Youth Librarian at a public library outside of Houston, Texas. While I absolutely love my job, I miss working on websites and using all of my designing skills.

I have done freelancing graphic design work for friends and family for the past few years, and decided in October of 2023 to start a business. AC Designs was born. I love working on all kinds of design projects, but am drawn to work with non-profits benefitting their communities.

When I’m not designing or working at the library, you might find me building a Lego set (most likely a Harry Potter set), reading the latest Michael Connelly book, or playing with my two cats. I’d love to help your design visions a reality! Just fill out my contact form and I’ll be in touch!
